Proactively Taking on Challenges in New Ship Related Businesses by Taking on Environmental Change as an Opportunity

We are taking the environmental changes surrounding the shipping and shipbuilding industries as an opportunity to create new business. This division is proactively developing and creating new business areas that provide solutions to problems. Some of our projects include a Panamax-type bulker shipping pool jointly established and promoted with Norwegian shipping company, Torvald Klaveness; a wind propulsion system installation project in collaboration with Bound 4 Blue, Spain; and the demonstration test of autonomous passenger boats in Sarushima, Yokosuka City. Additionally, we are also taking on the challenge of new businesses in the industry that utilize new technologies. One example of this is the launch of a capital and business alliance with MarCoPay, a Philippine company that operates a digital platform for ship crews.
